How to Pick Wines for Your Thanksgiving Dinner

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we know how tricky it can be to find the right bottle, but we’re here to help! Here are 3 tips for finding the perfect Turkey Day wines…

🦃 Price does NOT always equal quality. You don’t need to spend an arm and a leg to have a phenomenal selection of wine at your table. Check out our selection of Thanksgiving picks under $35 via the link in our bio.

🦃🦃 Don’t drive yourself crazy trying to pair wines with specific dishes...Most Thanksgiving meals are a delicious patchwork of varying mains, sides, sauces & flavors. Instead of trying to pair bottles with specific dishes, go ahead and pick wines that will compliment a wide variety of foods. We suggest going with lighter reds (like Pinot Noir or Gamay) , high acid whites (like Chenin Blanc or Sauvignon Blanc), rosés & sparkling wine!

🦃🦃🦃 Larger format bottles or boxes are a great option for bigger groups! A standard 750ml bottle of wine holds five, 5oz glasses of wine... but let’s be honest, who really pours a perfect 5oz glass at home? We don’t! You can comfortably assume that a bottle of wine = four glasses. So if you have more than 4 people at your table, don’t be afraid of buying larger format wines like high quality boxed wines or magnums.
Happy eating & drinking, y’all!
