Tasting Notes
Hints of black cherry, blueberry, strawberry, pink peppercorn, and cedar on the nose. On the palate, the wine delights with a smooth silky mouthfeel that is remarkably fresh and finishes with a clean touch of bright acidity.

Steph says:
As a Mexican-American woman, I was so freaking excited to find this delicious wine from Mexico made by a female winemaker. The wine is fantastic. Fruity and fresh and the perfect balance of acid and tannin. I hope you love this one as much as I do!

About the Producer
Founded in 1791 as a Dominican Mission, later turned winery in 1888. Santo Tomas became the pillar of winemaking and production in Ensenada. Santo Tomas is the oldest winery in the Valle de Guadalupe, and by far and away, the most prestigious. Since 2005, the winery has been lead by oenologist Laura Zamora, the first female winemaker in Mexico. She has achieved over 220 medals in national and international competitions. Having retired in 2019, winemaking has been handed off to the very capable hands of Cristina Pino Villar, formerly of Monte Xanic. Cristina, a Spaniard, will continue the legacy of Female winemaking, while ushering in her fresh perspectives and modern ingenuity.
