This 2015 red is a blend of 60% Liatiko and 40% Mandilaria and is EPIC. Super complex, evolved, big juicy tannins, red fruit, earthy and just freaking great. On the pricier side but well worth it for any red wine fanatics. This one comes from a Greek legend who's wines are sought after by wine geeks/collectors across the globe.

One of Greece’s most artisanal and sought after producers, Yiannis Economou the heart and soul of Domaine Economou the estate, is a vin-de-terroir natural-wine maker of extraordinary ability. Known and revered by fellow winemakers and wine geeks around the globe, his niche Cretan wines are secret gems and something almost transcendental to discover. 

With an oenology degree from Alba, years of cellar work in Germany and Bordeaux (Chateau Margaux) as well as Piedmont, under the guidance of Nebbiolo maestros such as Ceretto and Scavino, he returned to Crete in 1994.
