This Rioja made by Sandra Bravo Marin is a fresh take on a classic. Spontaneous fermentation happens in tank and then the wine is aged in neutral French oak for a year - providing the benefits of oak aging without the powerful flavor influence of new oak. The wine is made from grapes grown in a high altitude vineyard, which results in a natural freshness and elegance on the nose and palate. I taste black fruit notes with a lot of herbal undertones. One of my favorites.
